Bešeňová Water Paradise Thermal Water Park
In Slovakia, the Tatras are a region of thermal resorts. Bešeňová Water Paradise is located near the Low Tatras. As far back as when Celts lived in Europe, the springs in Bešeňová were known as healing waters. The thermal water in the local pools has a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal system and respiratory organs, provides beneficial cosmetic effects, and has an overall positive effect on the human psyche.
The springs here rise from a depth of up to 1,987 meters and reach a temperature of 60.5 °C. However, the temperature in the eight outdoor pools is regulated at 26–40 °C.
Infrastructure
- Relaxation pool – thewarmest pool in the park. Thermal water with a high content of healing elements and massage jets relieve tension in your body’s muscles. Water temperature: 36–40 °C.
- Cosmopolitan pool with a swim-up bar. While relaxing on the hydromassage beds, enjoy a drink at the COSMOPOLITAN swim-up bar. Water temperature: 30–36 °C.
- Recreation pool. Swim in the thermal water of the recreation pool with two lanes to cool off after a hot bath in the relaxation pools. Water temperature: 28–30 °C.
- Recreation pool with a goblet. Thermal relaxation pool with a pearl bath flowing from underwater seats. Water cascades from the goblet onto the shoulders and massages the back of the neck. Water temperature: 36 – 40 °C.
- In addition to the outdoor thermal pools, Bešeňová also has an indoor water world and children’s pools with a fountain and a giant climbing frame with a slide.
- It also takes your breath away large tower with several slides and the longest toboggan in Slovakia.

What to see in the surrounding area
The Liptov region has ideal geographical conditions and beautiful nature. Liptov is surrounded by Slovakia’s largest mountains – the High Tatras and the Low Tatras in the south. The Liptovská Mara reservoir is also located here—a very beautiful place at any time of year. The secrets of the underground beauty of this area can be discovered by visiting three caves: Demänovská ice cave, Demenivska cave of freedom in the Demenovska Valley, or Stanishovska cave in Liptovský Ján. In addition, the Liptov region is rich in numerous downhill and cross-country ski trails. And after an active holiday, Liptov offers relaxation in the thermal springs of the Bešeňová water park.

Tatralandia Holiday Resort Thermal Water Park
On the way to the High Tatras, try one of 28 water slides and 14 year-round pools with seawater, thermal water, and clean water at a popular thermal resort Tatralandia. This is the largest year-round water entertainment area in Slovakia, where, in addition to healing thermal waters, seawater also flows.
The main value of the Tatralandia water park is the thermal spring with a temperature of 60.7 °C , which flows from a depth of over 2,500 m. The composition of the water in the local salt pools is also unique: it also contains substances from the waters of a prehistoric sea , which was located in the Liptov Basin approximately 40 million years ago. Visit the castles Likava, Liptovský Old Castle and Liptovský Hrádok. Oravice Water Park
The water park is located in the vicinity of Orava and operates all year round. Here, you can relax in pools with natural thermal water – highly mineralized water rises from a depth of 1,611 meters.
The water in the Slovak Oravice water park comes from a geothermal well, so it is heated to a pleasant 28–38 °C. Even the outdoor pools here are open all year round and are very warm.
Sulfur-calcium-magnesium water has a high iron content, which is beneficial for health. You will also be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the peaks of the most beautiful part of the Western Tatras.

The water park is located next to the Meander ski resort – a true winter paradise for families with children. The local routes are fully adapted for teaching beginners how to ski. There is a separate ski area with a SunKID rope tow for children in the lower part of the resort, directly above the Water Park. And for experienced winter sports enthusiasts, there are more than 12 km of ski slopes of varying difficulty. All lovers of fresh corduroy with a view of the Western Tatras will be happy.
Discover Orava Castle (Oravský hrad), built in the style of an “eagle’s nest” on a cliff above the Orava River, in the town of Oravský Podzámok. It is a complex of buildings that replicates the shape of the cliff on which it stands. In 1556, the castle came into the hands of the Thurzó family, who carried out its extensive reconstruction. In 1611, Orava Castle acquired its present-day appearance.
Orava Forest Railway — one of the few surviving narrow-gauge railways with a track gauge of 760 mm, based in the town of Oravská Lesná. It was originally used to transport timber from the forests; today, it is a tourist attraction. Visitors can enjoy a rich fleet of rolling stock: carriages, the “Gontkulák” steam locomotive, a locomotive, and a wood-burning carriage. The Orava Forest Railway is open to tourists all year round.

At the famous AquaCity Poprad water park simply and warmly. The water park features 14 indoor and outdoor pools with thermal water at a temperature of 28–38°C, water slides, and more than 350 water attractions. The water in AquaCity comes from a natural underground source and is delivered directly to the site. The technological process cools it from 50°C to 36–38°C.

What to see nearby:
Poprad located at the foot of the High Tatras, where ski resorts operate in winter. If you do not ski or snowboard, I recommend visiting the lake Štrbské Pleso. Or, in good weather, taking a funicular to the summit of Gerlachovský štít. Take a ride on the narrow-gauge train that runs between the mountain towns of Tatranská Lomnica, the High Tatras, and Štrbské Pleso. Or, if you are traveling by car, visit the magnificent castle Spiš Castle.
Where Aquacity Poprad Is Located
Aquacity is located near the center of the city of Poprad, which lies in the northeastern part of Slovakia. AquaCity Poprad, Športová 1397/1, Poprad.

Not far from Bratislava, you will find a thermal pool that is open year-round. It is called Galandia Water World, which opened only in April 2022.
There are four indoor pools, including a large relaxation pool with massage jets and other attractions. For those who enjoy relaxing, there is a hyperthermal relaxation pool with a temperature of 34–36 °C. This is called a hot tub!
There is also wild river , a children’s pool with a slide and fountain, or a toboggan for speed enthusiasts. In summer, there is also an open-air area with additional pools and water slides.
