And nature and wonderful warm weather offers walking and hinging along the rocks by the sea. So &#8211; in winter on Malta you can combine a peaceful holiday and adventures in nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is exactly how I did when I visited Malta in winter &#8211; I walked through the natural bays of the islands, saw <strong>Valletta, Three cities, Marsashlok, Mdina<\/strong> and many other places, visited Malta, Gozo and Comino. And participated in the brightest carnival in Wallett. You can actually enjoy walking the streets, museums, and historic fortifications without crowds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nature at its best.<\/strong><br>Winter rains bring greenery and flowers back to the islands. Coastal trails and cliffs are fresh and photogenic \u2014 with dramatic skies and fewer distractions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mild weather compared to Europe.<\/strong><br>Average daytime temperature in February: <strong>15\u201317 \u00b0C<\/strong>, night: <strong>9\u201311 \u00b0C<\/strong>. Sunlight: about 6\u20137 hours daily. Sea: chilly (15\u201316 \u00b0C), but refreshing for brave swimmers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Festivals and local life.<\/strong><br>February brings the colorful <strong>Carnival celebrations<\/strong> (in Valletta and Nadur on Gozo) and the <strong>Feast of St. Paul\u2019s Shipwreck<\/strong> on February 10th. Perfect time to mix culture with adventure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cheaper flights &amp; accommodation.<\/strong><br>Low season means affordable flights with Ryanair or Wizz and better hotel deals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical Tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Clothing<\/strong>: bring layers, a warm sweater, waterproof jacket, scarf\/hat for evenings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Footwear<\/strong>: comfortable closed shoes for cobblestones &amp; coastal paths.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Transport<\/strong>: buses work year-round, ferries too (but check schedules due to winds). A weekly bus card is cost-effective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accommodation<\/strong>: Valletta, Sliema, or Mdina as a base; Gozo for nature and slower pace.
