In just ten days, we journeyed from the south to the north of Morocco<\/strong>. We explored the High<\/strong> and Middle<\/strong> Atlas<\/strong> mountains<\/strong>, walked along the ocean, shook off Sahara’s pink sand from our backpacks, and marveled at the vibrant colors, feeling like we descended from a rainbow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we planned our trip, our goal was to explore the best of Morocco’s cities and landscapes. I had my heart set on visiting the Sahara<\/strong> Desert<\/strong>, the stunning arches of Legzira<\/strong> Beach<\/strong>, the High<\/strong> Atlas<\/strong> Mountains<\/strong>, the vibrant city of Fes<\/strong>, and the charming blue town of Chefchaouen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After researching other travelers’ experiences, it became clear that the ideal route is to travel from the north to the south of Morocco<\/strong>. Or vice versa, to make the most of our journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many travelers follow a circular route, starting in Marrakech<\/strong>, crossing the High<\/strong> Atlas<\/strong>, visiting A\u00eft<\/strong> Benhaddou<\/strong>, exploring the desert, experiencing Chefchaouen<\/strong>, and finally returning to Marrakech<\/strong> via Rabat<\/strong>, Casablanca<\/strong>, and Essaouira<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this route is popular, it misses out on the beautiful Legzira<\/strong>, located 350 kilometers from Essaouira. Personally, I didn’t find Rabat and Casablanca very appealing. Rabat, as the capital, lacked standout attractions, and Casablanca didn’t offer much beyond its famous mosque and the ocean, which we had already enjoyed in the cozy atmosphere of Essaouira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I checked out airline options from Europe to Morocco <\/strong>and made my choice. I booked a direct flight with Wizz Air,<\/strong> going from Warsaw to Agadir<\/strong>. For the return trip, I went with Ryanair<\/strong>, flying from Tangier to Krakow<\/strong> with a layover in Bergamo<\/strong>. The cost for round-trip tickets, which included small hand luggage, was 85 euros per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agadir <\/strong>(arrival airport, car rental) – Sidi Ifni(Legzira Beach<\/strong>) Essaouira<\/a> <\/strong>– Marrakech <\/strong>– Ouarzazzate (A\u00eft<\/strong> Benhaddou<\/strong>) – Merzouga<\/a> (desert<\/strong>) – Fes <\/strong>(leather dyeing workshops) – Chefchaouen<\/a> <\/strong>(blue city) – Tangier <\/strong>(departure airport).<\/p>\n\n\n
